On 15 July 2021, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) unveiled its new strategy to increase minimum ambition in corporate target setting from ‘well below 2°C’ to ‘1.5°C’ above pre-industrial levels. The changes to the SBTi criteria will be implemented from 15 July 2022.
