Ministry of Finance and Gender Budget Group launch gender-responsive budgeting training programme

Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance (MoF), together with the civil society coalition Gender Budget Group, recently launched a three-day gender responsive budget-in-practice (GRBiP) programme. In a pre-Budget statement earlier this year, MoF had expressed its commitment to gender-responsive budgeting, an approach which seeks to improve access to resources and opportunities for women. The GRBiP programme will support the ministry in improving gender outcomes through its implementation of Budget 2022 allocations as well as in preparation for Budget 2023.
