The Malaysian Code on Corporate Governance (MCCG/the Code) was updated on 28 April 2021 for application by listed issuers. This Code introduces 12 new Practices (including one step-up), 8 updated Practices, and 8 updated Guidance and seeks to raise the bar on corporate governance amongst listed corporations. It is also strongly encouraged to be embraced by unlisted entities and government linked corporations.
