Sustainability Accelerator Programme Corporate Governance

The Malaysian Investor Relations Association (MIRA), in its continuing mission to facilitate timely initiatives in assisting listed companies in their engagement with stakeholders will be hosting the final phase of the Sustainability Accelerator Programme. This programme, supported by the Capital Markets Development Fund (CMDF) under Securities Commission, is to assist 100 eligible mid and small cap companies accelerate their sustainability journey and meaningful reporting.

Why participate in the Sustainability Accelerator Programme?

  1. Institutional Investors, including large statutory funds are using sustainability factors to assess companies for investment purposes.
  2. Climate change and COVID 19 will continue to impact society and the environment and companies need to demonstrate their efforts to manage these issues in their annual report to stakeholders.
  3. A company committed to profitably addressing key issues are often times rewarded with a loyal following of customers and the best talent in the marketplace.

The Sustainability Accelerator Programme is limited to eligible mid and small cap companies on a complimentary basis. Participating companies go through 4 workshops, spread over 2-3 months and will be provided with templates throughout the programme to work on their Sustainability Agenda with access to a Sustainability Customer Support Centre. Participating companies can also apply for special banking benefits from our supporting partner, Alliance Bank, where applicable.
