The Sabah Jurisdictional Approach for Sustainable Palm Oil (Jaspo) Initiative is developing a comprehensive system to monitor the progress and impacts of the jurisdictional approach to Sabah. The system measures the people, planet and prosperity of Sabah concerning palm oil. Nazlan Mohamad, Sustainability General Manager of Sawit Kinabalu said that these indicators support the Roundtable in Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) standards. Sawit Kinabalu, along with WWF-Malaysia, the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities (MPIC), the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC), the Sabah Forestry Department and the Sabah Jaspo Secretariat recently attended a workshop to finalise the Jaspo indicators.
