Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri said that the global trend in setting aggressive targets for carbon footprint reduction has made a positive impact on Malaysia. He said this was because increasing demand and investments for green or clean electricity will open up new opportunities for local renewable energy (RE) companies. Ismail Sabri said that Malaysia is blessed with many renewable energy sources and that establishing a viable energy transition can attract investments from companies that require a green energy supply.
