The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM), an organization formed by international financiers in 2021 with the goal of becoming an independent regulator that aims to raise the level of trust and transparency in the carbon markets. In line with their goals, ICVCM has approved three certifiers: Gold Standard, American Carbon Registry (ACR), and Climate Action Reserve; whom will soon be able to use the ICVCM label, potentially increasing their demand.
