Maybank said it plans to run a pilot climate stress test in 2022 to better understand how climate change will affect its business strategy and performance. The bank said that it has explored several environmental, social and governance as well climate stress testing tools to support its scenario analysis. Maybank added that it is addressing upcoming regulatory requirements on climate stress testing and has been engaging with regulators, business and support functions to develop a prototype climate-scenario analysis.
