Mcdonald’s Malaysia, TNB and GSPARX Sign MoU to Reduce Carbon Footprint

McDonald's Malaysia has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tenaga Nasional Bhd and GSPARX Sdn Bhd to reduce its local carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy. The agreement is for the installation of photovoltaic cells at 100 of McDonald’s drive-through restaurants in the country. McDonald's Malaysia managing director Datuk Azmin Jaafar said the installations are expected to be completed by December 2024 and would reduce the cost of electricity used by RM7 million.
