Bursa Malaysia signed a three-year memorandum of collaboration with government agency Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC) to build and promote the voluntary carbon market (VCM) ecosystem in Malaysia. The collaboration will focus on three areas, which are the development of a VCM handbook, the creation of a Directory of Carbon Industry Providers and building technical expertise amongst players in the ecosystem. MGTC will also support the implementation of the Bursa Carbon Exchange (BCX) that was launched in December 2022.
