The Philippines and the European Commission have agreed to support the country's green economy transition through the Green Economy Program in the Philippines (GEPP), with a EUR60mn grant. The program focuses on circular economy, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation. The Joint Declaration was signed by EU Ambassador Luc Veron and DENR Secretary Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga. The Philippines is committed to securing internal government approvals to start implementing the program within the year.
