The Sabah government has put its controversial carbon credit programme on hold following an inquiry from a United Nations working group. Malaysia’s ambassador and permanent representative to the UN in Geneva, Datuk Nadzirah Osman, said that the Nature Conservation Agreement was being reviewed in order to refine various clauses and sever erroneous clauses deemed as “lopsided” by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
