Samaiden Group Bhd's subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, along with consortium member JS Solar Sdn Bhd, has secured an RM100 million contract from NUR Renewables Sdn Bhd to build a 50 megawatt (MW) solar power plant at Kulim Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Kedah. The project, which is the initial phase of a 500 MW solar initiative, aims to provide green energy to customers within KHTP. Samaiden intends to collaborate with UEM Lestra Bhd, a green energy arm of UEM Group, for the development of the solar project.
