Samsung Engineering Announces H2biscus Green Hydrogen & Ammonia Project in Malaysia

Samsung Engineering, in collaboration with Lotte Chemical, Korea National Oil Corporation, and Malaysia’s Sarawak Economic Development Corporation Energy (SEDC Energy), has initiated the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract for the Sarawak H2biscus Green Hydrogen & Ammonia project in Malaysia. The project aims to produce clean hydrogen from renewable energy sources in Malaysia and export it to South Korea, contributing to both countries' environmental goals. The hydrogen produced will be used locally in Sarawak, with the excess converted to ammonia and shipped to South Korea for various applications. The project aligns with Sarawak's plans for economic revitalization and a hydrogen-based economy. Samsung Engineering sees this initiative, along with similar projects like the Hydrom Clean Hydrogen Project in Oman and the Shepherd CCS Project, as opportunities to expand its business and contribute to global hydrogen efforts.
