Sarawak is exploring the production of biocoal as a green energy option for state power plants, according to the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC). SEDC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Husain said that studies are currently being done on the possibility of producing biocoal, which could become a long-term investment. Biocoal is produced by mixing wood pellets and biowaste like algae.
