The Securities Commission (SC) Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia announced the rollout of a new mandatory onboarding programme on sustainability for directors of public listed companies (PLCs) on Bursa Malaysia. Mandatory Accreditation Programme (MAP) Part II: Leading for Impact is an extension to the existing MAP Part I under the Bursa Malaysia Main Market and ACE Market Listing Requirements, collectively, the Listing Requirement. Existing directors of PLCs will have 24 months to complete the new sustainability-focused accreditation programme.
