SME Bank will focus on empowering social enterprises and promoting the adoption of sustainable business practices among micro, small and medium enterprises in line with allocations made under the 2023 budget. “Under the Social Enterprise Financing Scheme, RM20 million is provided for working capital and asset purchases to develop and strengthen social enterprises,” said the bank’s group president and chief executive officer Datuk Wira Aria Putera Ismail. SME Bank will also focus on facilitating the adoption of environmental, social and governance practices through the RM10 million Sustainability Incentive Scheme, he said.
