Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) wants to collaborate with China’s state-owned power utilities to revolutionise the Asean Power Grid (APG) using high-voltage direct current (HVDC). TNB president and CEO Datuk Seri Baharin Din said HVDC is pivotal in integrating renewable energy sources among Asean nations and that a potential partnership with China’s power utilities allows TNB to strategically capitalise on their expertise and experience in developing complex HVDC projects.
